Artesian is a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Iraqi Freedom. Artesian has over 10 years of experience in higher education. During his career, Artesian has had the extreme pleasure of working with students from all walks of life throughout the various phases of their college career. He has held numerous roles in the field of education including Academic Advisor, Assistant Director of Advising and, most recently, college Professor, (teaching multiple courses in Business, Healthcare and Professional Development).
Artesian received his Masters in Higher Education with an emphasis on Adult Teaching and Learning from Kaplan University. Prior to receiving his degree in education, he earned a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Healthcare Administration, both from the University of Phoenix. Artesian’s passion for education and helping Veterans achieve their educational and professional goals stems from his own experiences while using both the Montgomery GI Bill and the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
As a Higher Education Professional, Artesian is very detailed oriented individual with expertise in career development, heavy focus on student retention, & higher education strategies. Artesian is also a results-oriented team player who partners with peers and senior management on tactical and strategic initiatives for increased efficiencies and customer relations. He has the ability to learn quickly, lead others by example, & possesses a strong desire to succeed.
In addition to his extensive background in higher education, he is also a founding member of San Tan Valley American Legion Post 97 and the owner and CEO of Artwork LLC which offers mentoring and life coaching services in the area of personal and professional development.
