Summary

Ms. Danielle Kayembe works on projects focused on women, social impact and Africa, developing initiatives that empower entrepreneurs in the US and emerging markets in Africa. Drawing on her background in finance and strategy, she bridges international companies and investors seeking to make a greater impact in the world. Danielle also provides consulting and advisory services to companies seeking opportunities for investment in Africa.

Danielle is a partner in the Tour of Tech, a new initiative that brings investors from Silicon Valley to tour rising tech hubs in Africa, curated to highlight local culture, women entrepreneurs and social impact startups.

Ms. Kayembe has over 10 years of experience in international consulting and finance in New York and sub-Saharan Africa. Ms. Kayembe worked as an investment banker in New York; working on over $3.2 billion of deals as part of Banc of America’s High Yield and Leveraged Finance Team, and $25 billion of deals as part of the Leveraged Acquisition Finance team at HSBC Securities.
In Africa, she has advised firms such as Helios Towers, Kingdom Zephyr and Vodacom, and consulted on both the business and community development factors involved in creating successful transactions.

Most recently, Ms. Kayembe worked for McCann Global Health, providing strategic consulting to their portfolio of global pharmaceutical clients. While there, she worked on projects focused on motivating behavior change to improve outcomes for marginalized communities affected by HIV and Hepatitis-C.

Ms. Kayembe is on the international board for the Children’s Radio Foundation, a UNICEF-backed charity that works to improve the lives of children in African communities impacted by war, displacement and HIV. Ms. Kayembe is also on the board for the Voss Foundation, which builds clean water wells in African communities to improve the lives of women and children.
